We might have to start looking at bassinets, cradles and moses baskets – a quick call to UppaBaby verified that we still have a few weeks to go before the UppaBaby Vista 2010 is available at retailers.
Uppa factors into this by including a bassinet attachment to its Vista stroller that is capable of standing on its own (a feature the bassinet attachment other strollers lack). Our thinking was, “Why buy a bassinet when the stroller comes with one… it should be out by the time we’ll need it” (yeap, that was me saying that).
The path that we have decided on isn’t an easy one, hopefully it’ll work out. We’re going to wait for the 2010 Vista to come out. The plan is, that if the baby arrives before the stroller (which seems more than likely), the kid will use the Romina crib we purchased earlier. Mum or I will roll up one or two cloth diapers and position them lengthwise along each side of the kid.
That’s the plan for now, Mum and I will update as we find out more (wish us luck!).
